As March celebrates the power of women through International Woman’s Day, Pitch In decided to join in and host our first ever Girls Day Out!
On March 25th, Pitch In gathered all of our special young women and mentors to enjoy a day full of pampering and empowerment. We were hosted by the incredibly generous Salon DJ & Hairtography in their beyond gorgeous West loop space. The girls participated in community building activities including neon henna hands, bff bracelet making, glitter crowns, nails by JamBerry, and professional makeovers. We also had a special guest segment that included Kaylee, who talked about her career as a meteorologist for NBC, and Tee Spirit, who talked about her experience as a female MC and gave us an amazing performance! We closed out the special day with a partner activity that prompted the ladies to identify what made their partner a super amazing girl.
Girls Day Out was a success and the ladies of Pitch In left feeling confident, beautiful, and powerful as they toted their JamBerry gift bags all the way home.
