Last week, students & mentors enjoyed their last family dinner of the 2017-2018 school year!

The 4th graders spent the month of May learning all about putting safety first and presented poster boards on how they plan to stay safe this summer.

Pitch In 5th graders spent the month learning about plants and the history of ethnobotany with some special guests. They also planted their own garden beds at LCA with the help of our friends at YMEN!

The month of May for 6th graders was all about their relationships with the staff of LCA and with each other. They were tasked with creating their idea of a perfect ‘Day 1’ (best friend) and presented it at family dinner.

May was a huge month for our 7th graders! They spent each week learning about mentoring and getting geared up to become mentors themselves next school year! They wrote a letter to the 3rd graders, their future 4th grade mentees, and presented them at family dinner.

Also, AWARDS! Each Pitch In student received a unique award highlighting all of their amazing qualities! For the first time this year we also gave our parents the Parent of the Year Award! It was so fun to see the surprise and joy from our families faces.
